Disc golf is the much like the golf game. In this game, the individual or the team members throw a disc into a basket or other targeted area. According to the association of the Disc golf game, the object of the game is to steer a course from the start to the end of the game in few numbers of flings of the disc. The game of the disc golf is more similar to the traditional golf. The rules and terminologies of the disc golf are same as the traditional golf. Disc golf has few similar rules like golf. Disc golf also has been played in different areas of Europe, since the beginning of the 20th century.  In 1975, the first golf course was opened as the Oak Grove Park in California. Many disc golf games are also played in the hilly, semi wooded and green grassy areas as well.

Many types of the discs are used in the Disc golf, such as the Putters, mid range discs, and the drivers Discs. Every category of the disc golf has more unique flight individuality. The discs for the game of the golf discs are made to turn left/right and fly straight. The putters are made similar as the traditional Frisbees. The putters are designed to fly straight and very slow as compared to the other Frisbees or discs. The weight of the golf discs is usually 150 to 180 grams and the measure of the disc is 21 to 25 cm in the diameter. The golf discs are made from different types of plastic.

The game of the golf Disc is very similar to the Frisbee game. The modern golf discs are much smaller than the usual Frisbee. A Frisbee has a rounded and flatter edge, whereas golf discs have a beveled edge. The disc golf is also called the “folf” or “Frisbee golf”. The score of the golf disc is relative to the pars. The game of the disc golf starts with the three-par mentality. The courses of the golf disc have at least 9 holes. Most courses of the USA open golf tournaments include 18 holes. There are many different scoring methods like skins, match play and speed golf in the disc golf, but stroke golf is one of the most famous and common scoring methods. The disc golf game is more attractive and unique in the WFDF and PDGA rules. The techniques of throwing the discs are very authentic and skillful. There are two major techniques of throwing the golf discs. These methods are backhand throw and forehand throw. The backhand is so simple and easier than the forehand method of throwing the golf discs.
